Position Summary
Develop and/or maintain the following for Government review: Logistical Planning Documents Acquisition Strategies and Plans Evaluations of Contractor Proposals assessments of supportability recommendations for improvement of support plans deployment plans for delivery of systems to sites worldwide Integrated Logistics Support Plans. Depot Source of Repair (DSOR)/Source of repair assignment (SORAP) documents Diminishing Manufacturing Source (DMS) studies
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and implement logistics plans and influence/evaluate the system design to ensure a fully supportable system is fielded
  • Lead/direct efforts to ensure that integrated logistics support (ILS) objectives are considered and introduced as early as practical on assigned programs
  • Participate in the development of plans which will have far-reaching consequences for logistics design and support at early stages in the system program life cycle
  • Ensure comprehensive consideration of all factors that impact logistics design and support
  • Integrate current logistics concepts into preliminary planning to evaluate the various options for maintenance concepts level-of-repair decisions and support/test equipment requirements
  • Evaluate support alternatives from the standpoint of life cycle cost and other trade parameters to ensure optimal use of resources without degrading operational readiness
  • Create and make recommendations on revisions of all Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSPs) Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) inputs to Program Management Plans (PMPs) replies to Systems Operational Requirements Document (SORD) Performance Work Statement (PWS) and other evaluation criteria/reports.
Education and Experience
  • Must have fifteen (15) years of logistics experience
  • five (5) experience in aeronautical weapon systems acquisition logistics
  • At least one year of defense acquisition management experience must have been obtained within the last 5 years prior to selection for employment
Skills and Certifications
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
