AWACS Training Systems Support Center TSSC Manager

Individual must be able to attain and maintain a valid U.S. Government security clearance in order to be retained in this position.
Position Summary
Plans coordinates schedules directs and controls all TSSC engineering and technical support activities. Reviews and evaluates all work performed. Ensures compliance with all management plans policies and procedures. Provides recommendations for resolution of technical problems.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate activities of engineering and technicians
  • Manage team training evaluates performance recommends and initiates corrective and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for monitoring work activities to include preparation of records of expenditures property inventory control and progress reports to inform management of status
  • Capture tracks and reports metrics and customer satisfaction associated with performance objectives
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet contract requirements and production schedules
  • Support all LCI Air Force and Program Management directives and policies including safety quality and security; develops work center procedures instructions and policies
  • Keep Air Force leadership Program Manager and Quality Manager informed of contract status issues problems and proposed solutions
  • Manages office supply account for project team
  • Provide leadership for project success ensures customer satisfaction improves processes and controls costs
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
Education and Experience
  • SENIOR LEVEL:
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in project management
  • Experience in Air Force DOD development and acquisition
Skills and Certifications
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow project life cycle and bring projects to meet deadlines
  • Understand the workings of training
